SPRING RENEWAL

Spring greetings everyone…

I’m a little (a lot) behind in sharing what’s emerging in and through me. Sometimes it’s hard to bring it out into the world…I’m sure I’m not alone in that! But something in there just won’t let it go. It’s not disappearing into the abyss. My “inner list” is tracking and keeps writing it on my “outer lists” of things to do – even though those lists get crumpled and rewritten (over and over again), even through all the I’m busy with other stuff, does it really even matter, there’s so much devastation and pain in the world, I should be focusing on (seemingly) more important things, etc etc. Something in there keeps nudging, unrelenting in the background. So…on the cusp of a week-long silent retreat, some inner wisdom rose up and said, Do you really want to carry this list into this time and sit with it all week, along with whatever else arises in those silent/not-so-silent spaces? How about we give in instead, lay it down on the altar of Panacreatea, let go, lighten your load, and make room for…who knows what?

And so, I’m giving in. One announcement and two poems to follow.

A while back I shared that one of my poems was going to be included in a book for retired educators. Well, I received a copy in the mail and here it is! “Be a Legacy Teacher: Five Purpose-filled Pathways to Inspire Late-Career and Retiring Educators” by Carol Pelletier Radford. This is a beautiful experiential resource of guidance, encouragement, reflection and creativity – honoring the lifelong pathways of teachers in a spectrum of forms. And I’m honored to be included. Please check in out and share with the teachers in your life: https://mentoringinaction.com/books/

To be continued…

How do you feel as you take this in...?
